About the Omicron Additional Restrictions Grant
The Omicron Additional Restrictions Grant supports businesses that:
- aren’t eligible for the Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant (OHLG)
- were open and actively engaged in trading on 30 December 2021
- have been adversely affected financially by the spread of Omicron
- are registered in Barnet or the owner or trader lives within the borough. The business does not need to be registered for business rates
You can apply for the grant whether your business is responsible for business rates or not.
The grant will be awarded on a first come-first-served basis to eligible businesses who have submitted an application and uploaded all required evidence.
We can't fund eligible businesses once our total funding allocation of £2,585,744 has been used.
You can't apply for the grant if your business is:
- in administration, liquidation, dissolved, struck off or subject to a strike off notice or under notice
- not actively engaged in trading on 30 December 2021
- and you have already received, or are receiving support grants that reach the maximum allowance limit check the grant allowance limit
Additional Restrictions cannot be used as a wage support mechanism.
How much can you get
The following grants values are available:
- £6,000 for businesses with a rateable value of exactly £51,000 or above
- £4,000 for businesses with a rateable value between £15,000 and £51,000
- £2,667 for businesses with a rateable value of exactly £15,000 or below
- £1,500 for businesses with no rent or mortgage costs
You may be taxed on the grant you receive.
All final payments will be made by 31 March 2022

You must complete and submit your application by 11:59pm on 18 March 2022
What you will need
Before applying you will need to gather information to support your grant application.
You will need to upload this information onto your application form.
Supporting information for grant application:

business Rates Account Reference Number, this will be on your most recent bill

identification of the rate payer, upload either your financial accounts, passport ID page or driving licence

evidence of business trading from 30 December 2021, upload either a delivery note, expenses receipt, purchase order or sales receipt

evidence the claimant is named holder of bank account, upload a bank statement dated within the last 3 months.

evidence of the company occupying the property from 30 December 2021, upload 2 different utility bills, dated within the last 3 months. Such as; electricity bill, gas bill, landline bill or water bill

You will be contacted via your Grant Approval account once a decision has been made on your application.
If your application is approved your grant payment will be paid into your bank account within 5 working days.
