Additional Restrictions Restart Grant

In line with the government Restart Grant a one-off Additional Restrictions Restart Grant will be available from 9 April 2021.
This scheme will close on 30 June 2021
Who can apply
You can apply for a grant if your business was:
- forced to close but has no business rate liability
- not legally forced to close, has been severely impacted by local and national restrictions, but is not eligible for the Local Restrictions Support Grant.
Who can't apply
Grants are not available to businesses that:
- have reached the subsidy allowance limit, previously known as state aid
- are in administration, insolvent or where a striking-off notice has been made
- were not trading on the 1 April 2021
- have chosen to close but have not been required to by National or Local restrictions
- have not suffered a loss in income owing to COVID-19 and local or national restrictions
- are not liable for Business Rates where the owner or trader does not live within the Borough of Barnet and the business is not registered there.
How much can you get
The grant will be a one-off grant of:
- £1,500 for businesses with no Rateable Value/Rent/Mortgage
- £2,667 for businesses with a Rateable Value/Rent/Mortgage Payments £15,000 and under
- £4,000 for businesses with a Rateable Value/Rent/Mortgage Payments between £15,001 and £50,999
- £6,000 for businesses with a Rateable Value/Rent/Mortgage Payments £51,000 and over.
How to apply
We are now taking applications for the Additional Restrictions Restart Grant.
Before applying you will need to gather documentation to upload onto your application form.
You will need to show us:

identification of the rate payer; upload either your financial accounts, passport ID page or driving licence

evidence you were trading on 1 April 2021; upload either a delivery note, expenses receipt, purchase order or sales receipt

evidence the claimant is the named holder of the business bank account; upload bank statements dated within the last 4 months
-
evidence of the company occupying the property on 1 April 2021; upload 2 different utility bills dated within the last 3 months, such as electricity, gas, landline or water bill.
Apply for the Additional Restrictions Restart Grant
When you will hear from us
Government have set a deadline for all previous national grants to be paid by 30 April 2021. As these payments must take priority, this may result in a delay to processing Restart grants.
Due to the volume of applications we can't commit to completing applications within 5 working days.
If your application is approved, your grant payment will be paid into your bank account within 4 working days of the approval date.
