Additional Restrictions Grant second payment cycle

Barnet will be introducing an Additional Restrictions Grant second payment cycle, to support businesses that are not responsible for:
- business rates, or
- those that don't meet the criteria for the national Restart Grant.
The Additional Restrictions Grant second payment cycle, will be available from 9 April 2021 until 1 June 2021.
Who can apply
- businesses not responsible for business rates, or
- those responsible for business rates but not forced to close under lockdown guidance can apply for the Additional Restrictions Grant second payment cycle grant.
This grant will cover your business from 16 February to 31 March 2021.
If you have already received an Additional Restrictions grant from 5 January 2021 you can't apply again.
This scheme closes on 1 June 2021.
How much can you get
Your grant is based on the rateable value of the property, or the annual rent or mortgage costs if the property is not registered for business rates.
Grant awarded up to £3,300 for businesses:
- occupying a commercial property on the local authority ratings list, with a rateable value of £51,000 and above
- or, where businesses are paying a mortgage or rent of £51,000 or above per annum.
Grant awarded up to £2,200 for businesses:
- occupying a commercial property on the local authority ratings list, with a rateable value of between £15,000 and £51,000
- or, where businesses are paying a mortgage or rent between £15,000 and £51,000 per annum.
Grant awarded up to £1,468 for businesses:
- occupying a commercial property on the local authority ratings list, with a rateable value of £15,000 or less
- or, where businesses are paying a mortgage or rent of £15,000 or below per annum.
Grant awarded up to £786 for businesses:
- that do not qualify for any of the other grants because they do not have a mortgage or
- rental liability associated with the business.
How to apply
If you have already applied for a Business Support Grant between 17 October 2020 and 31 March 2021, you will have the option to pre-fill your application using the same information. If the documents originally used are older than 90 days you must provide up to date evidence.
Before applying you will need to gather documentation to upload onto your application form.
You will need to show us:
- identification of the rate payer; upload either your financial accounts, passport ID page or driving licence
- evidence you were trading on 15 February 2021; upload either a delivery note, expenses receipt, purchase order or sales receipt
- evidence the claimant is the named holder of the business bank account; upload bank statements dated within the last 4 months
- evidence of the company occupying the property on 15 February 2021; upload 2 different utility bills dated within the last 3 months, such as electricity, gas, landline or water bill.

Due to the volume of applications we can't commit to completing applications within 5 working days.
If your application is approved, your grant payment will be paid into your bank account within 4 working days of the approval date.
