Self-isolation and support to self-isolate
Skip to:
When you should self-isolate
If you have symptoms of COVID-19
- get tested to check if you have COVID-19 as soon as possible
- try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people until you get your test result
If you test positive for COVID-19
You should stay at home and avoid contact with others for at least 5 days. Day 0 is the day you first experience symptoms or test positive.
Close contacts with someone who has had a positive test are no longer required to self-isolate if they are not fully vaccinated. However, it is recommended to rapid test daily in the days before and after contact, especially if you are unvaccinated or meet with anyone clinically extremely vulnerable.
