Report a flood
Flooding can come from many different sources and who you report it to depends on the type of flood.
We are the Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA) for the borough. We manage local flood risks from surface water, groundwater and ordinary watercourses. Report to us any flooding of surface water, groundwater or ordinary watercourses.
For other types of flood, once you have contacted the relevant organisation, let us know as well.
The Environment Agency have the national view, and lead on flooding from main rivers, coasts and reservoirs.

Flooding from a public sewer
Report to Thames Water by calling 0800 316 9800 (24 hour service). You are responsible for private sewers and drains within your property boundaries.
If you notice sewer flooding with foul smell (having sewage solids, toilet debris etc.) inside/outside your property or public place (road, pavements, path, parks etc, sometimes causing pollution to a river/stream), you should report this to Thames Water on 0800 316 9800 (24hour service). If the phone lines are busy, this can be reported via Thames Water blockage reporting tool alternatively filling the sewer flooding questionnaire. It is very important that these are reported to Thames Water and appropriate reference numbers are stored for future reference.
