About religious or community parking permits
These permits are available to full time ministers of religion based at a place of worship.
The address of the place of worship does not have to be located within the borough of Barnet; however the religious/faith duties being carried out must be within the borough of Barnet. The place of worship must be either certified under the Places of Worship Registration Act 1855 or belong to the Church of England.
Other places of worship outside the borough that serve a significant number of Barnet residents, and otherwise meet the requirements, may also be granted a permit at the discretion of the relevant Director.
You can use the permit to be able to park your vehicle in a resident permit holders, permit holders or in any 'permit holders past this point' area within the controlled hours.
Signs on the street will give more information about the zone and its operating hours.
Religious or Community parking permits are virtual, which means you do not need to display anything in your vehicle. Your permit is electronic and is associated with your vehicle registration number.
Patrolling Civil Enforcement Officers will be able to view your permit on their handheld computers.
You can apply for a 12 month permit.
You will receive renewal reminders in advance of the permit expiry date.
