Barnet Council’s Adults and Health Directorate supports adults, young people with disabilities aged 18-24, people with physical or sensory abilities, people with learning disabilities, adults over 65 who are physically or mentally frail, people with mental health problems and people who care for family members or friends.

Barnet’s Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) is the evidence base for understanding current and future population-level need in Barnet. It has been designed to inform joined-up, evidence-based decision making and commissioning by the council, Barnet CCG, the Barnet Health and Wellbeing Board, voluntary groups, and providers. 

Delivering the right homes in the right locations at the right time underpins successful and sustainable growth in Barnet. Barnet’s Housing Delivery Action Plan (HDAP) highlights the causes of delays following planning consent and the actions the Council proposes to undertake to speed up the delivery of new homes. We invite comments on the contents of this HDAP and also encourage ongoing proactive engagement with relevant stakeholders in implementing its actions for improving housing delivery.
