Join us for a traditional library activity of rhymes and stories with a simple mark making activity for under fives. Sessions must be booked via Eventbrite. Booking opens at 7am on the morning of each session. Please read the Eventbrite information for more details. Rhymes, Stories and Mark Making takes place in term time only.

Baby Bounce and Play is a rhyme, story and sensory play session for babies that can't walk yet. Sessions cost £3.50 payable at the library desk on arrival. Places are allocated on a first come first served basis. Baby Bounce and Play sessions run regularly during term time at Chipping Barnet and Colindale libraries.

Let your imagination run wild at Colindale Library's Lego Club. Every session has a different theme. Join us and see what fantastic creations you can make! The sessions are designed for children aged 5+ and parent supervision is required.

Conversation Café is for people whose first language is not English and who would like to improve their speaking skills. The sessions cover a variety of subjects and topics to help learners gain confidence in speaking English in a fun, relaxed and welcoming environment.

Our friendly reading group meets on the first Thursday of every month from 2pm to 3pm. Each month we choose a new book to discuss and encourage members of the group to suggest our next title. Please contact the library or ask at the counter during staffed hours to obtain a copy of the current title.

A monthly book group facilitated by library staff. Every month, we will discuss a specially selected book from a variety of genres. Copies of the books will be available to borrow during staffed hours. Please note that there will be no book club meeting in November due to the library refurbishment. The book for December's meeting will be available in early November. 

Our Board Games Bonanza Club takes place fortnightly during term time at Chipping Barnet Library.  We have a variety of games and puzzles for a wide age range.

Come and have a go at competing in a variety of board games or simply relax with a puzzle. Recommended for primary school children.

North Finchley Teen Book Club meets once a month for fun, games and some bookish chat. We are an after-school group for young people to share whether they liked, loved or loathed their latest read. For ages 12 to 16 years. Email North Finchley library for more information and to register your interest.
