This represents a considerable challenge in Barnet, a borough with over 30,000 street trees. The annual leaf fall can be unpredictable due to weather and varying leaf fall times depending on tree species.

Burst water main – Finchley area

16.50 UPDATE: Affinity Water has reported that all residents affected should now have a water supply, although this may be at a lower pressure than normal. Their team is on site to continue repair work to the damaged section of water main. For the latest information we advise residents to keep checking the Affinity Water website for updates. The facility can be found in the Fenella Building car park of Middlesex University, The Burroughs, Hendon, NW4 4BS. It will operate from 8am-8pm, seven days a week from today (Monday 2 November). Remembrance Sunday in Barnet

In a year when we have marked the 75th anniversary of VE Day and the 80th anniversary of the start of the Blitz, Remembrance Day has a particular resonance in 2020, and the desire to remember and pay tribute to our Armed Forces and war dead has perhaps seldom been stronger.

This is to curb the rising rate of COVID-19 infections and protect the NHS from being overwhelmed. While this is a difficult time for all of us, I want to reassure you that the council will continue to support everyone who lives, works and studies in the borough.
