I am writing to make a request for information. Accordingly, I request the following information:1. Please provide annual data, from 2020 to 2024, on:A) the number of requests received for Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs), B) the number of assessments carried out,C) and how many of these resulted in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) being issued. D) Please also confirm the number of EHCPs issued within the statutory 20-week timeframe during each of these years.2. Please provide statistics on the number of appeals lodged with the SEND Tribunal against your authority since 2020, including a breakdown by type of appeal (e.g., refusal to assess, refusal to issue, content of EHCP), and the outcome in each case (conceded, dismissed, upheld, ongoing).3. Please confirm the number of children and young people with EHCPs currently placed in: - Mainstream provision - Special schools (both maintained and independent) - Alternative provision or PRUs - Education settings outside your local authority area4. I request information on current staffing levels within your SEND service, including but not limited to case officers, SEN officers, and educational psychologists. Please also provide the average caseload per officer and any changes to SEND staffing levels or structure since 2020.5. Please disclose the total SEND service budget for each financial year since 2020, and indicate how much of this was spent in each of those years. If available, please include details of any overspend, deficit, or recoupment measures.6. Please provide data on the number of formal complaints received by your authority in relation to SEND provision, broken down by year since 2020, along with any available categorisation (e.g., delays, provision failure, placement disputes) and outcomes. Additionally, please confirm the number of cases involving the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman (LGSCO), including any findings of maladministration or service failure and the steps taken in response.7. Please confirm how many children and young people with EHCPs are currently not in full-time education, either due to lack of placement, exclusions, medical needs, or other reasons, and what alternative provision, if any, is in place in each such case.8. Finally, please provide the number of fixed-term and permanent exclusions involving pupils with SEND in each year since 2020..I would prefer to receive the information in electronic format via email. I understand you are required to respond within 20 working days of receipt of this request, in accordance with section 10 of the FOI Act.
