Update on Negotiations Concerning Railway Hotel, Edgware (Follow-up to FOI 14330417)

I am writing under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (or the Environmental Information Regulations 2004, if more appropriate) to request an update relating to the property known as The Railway Hotel, 38-40 Station Road, Edgware HA8 7AB.This is a follow-up to FOI reference 14330417, issued on 6 May 2025, in which Barnet Council confirmed that:* The current owner (believed to be Milegate Ltd) was not in active discussions with the Local Planning Authority (LPA), but* The Council was engaged in pre-application discussions with a potential new buyer, whose identity was withheld at the time.As a considerable amount of time has now passed, I am requesting:1. The current status of those negotiations or pre-application discussions - have contracts exchanged or completed, and has a planning application been submitted?2. The identity of the party (or parties) involved in the pre-application discussions or contract negotiations including any corporate entity or representative.3. If the property has changed ownership or development control has transferred, please provide:* The date of transfer* The name of the new owner or controlling partyI understand that some commercial sensitivity may apply, but I believe the public interest in the redevelopment of this prominent heritage asset, and the potential impact on Edgware Town Centre, supports disclosure of at least the parties involved and the stage of progress.
