Direct Debit guarantee

This Guarantee is offered by all Banks and Building Societies that accept instructions to pay Direct Debits. If there are any changes to the amount, date or frequency of your Direct Debit London Borough of Barnet will notify you 10 working days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed. If you request London Borough of  Barnet to collect a payment, confirmation of the amount and date will be given to you at the time of the request.

General history and background In 1994, Barnet Council established an independent body to oversee War Memorials in the Borough. Membership included the Representative Deputy Lieutenant of the day, Mr Laurence Bains CBE DL, some Councillors and some officers of the Council. A Trust was established, with the undermentioned as initial Trustees:

Saracens event day CPZ

A CPZ (Controlled Parking Zone is in place on days when Saracens play their home matches at Copthall Stadium and on 2 extra ‘major events’ days each year. All matches and events are on Saturdays or Sundays and the CPZ will be in force from 1pm to 6pm.

Chaperone licensing

Being a chaperone in the entertainment industry is an interesting and rewarding role. There's many different areas of the entertainment world where children are employed, all requiring appropriate supervision by chaperones. The role of the council is to ensure that children who are licensed to perform are appropriately supervised. We do this by approving and licensing chaperones so that they can care for the children who are undertaking work in the entertainment industry.
