Film classification

Films that are being shown to a public audience must be given a classification rating. If you're a film maker or promoter, you can apply to either: British Board for Film Classification the local Licensing Authority for the area where the film is being shown. How do I apply? To apply for the classification or reclassification of a film you must apply in writing to the Licensing Department at least 2 months prior to the date you wish to exhibit the film.
